Co-op Big Clean Up – Saturday 2 July 2016

The CO-OP and Don George group are having another clean up day at Sprotbrough this Saturday.
Anyone with any spare time are welcome to help out, the group will be on site from 09:00 to 15:00.

The Clean up is in preparation for the canal and rivers trust go fishing in the Don George event, on Friday 29th July. More details on this event will follow shortly

Antisocial Behaviour

Over the last few weeks the Canal and Rivers Trust have carried out extensive works to repair the East bank at Southfield reservoir. During these works they have made great efforts to stabilise the angling platforms, of which DDAA are very grateful.

It has been brought to our attention that during the night certain individuals have been throwing the platforms and rocks securing them into the reservoir.

DDAA are fully committed to making our fisheries the best we can and in recent weeks we have been working closely with South Yorkshire police to combat people fishing illegally and carrying out antisocial behaviour on our waters, and as a result this week two people were arrested at the long pond in Barnby Dun for drug dealing, thankfully not anglers.

If anyone witnesses antisocial behaviour on our waters report it by the 101 number and give as much detail as you can, if you can’t get through keep trying. S Y Police will be patrolling our waters on a regular basis.
